Equivalent to the Lucas LD109. Another very popular sidelamp with a broad application. 2” in diameter, this compact sidelamp is equivalent to the Lucas LD109 and is similar to many other lamps of the period including the Raydyot WL7. It is available with a teardrop or round base and in chrome plate or gloss black powder coat finish.

Description

Equivalent to the Lucas LD109, the black version of this lamp offers a good alternative to the Type LSO and Butlers 1150 lamps.  The LD109 was used on many cars including Standard 4/8, Morris 8, Austin 7, Wolseley, and many others.
Commercial vehicle applications included tractors such as Nuffield and Ferguson.
Frosted lens.
The front rim is a firm clip-on fitting, and the lamp reflector has a small hole that aligns with the red dot “tell-tale” on the lamp top.
Note- this lamp is only suitable as a sidelight.
