2″ Leather Bonnet Strap Kit – Lined

Lined 2-inch leather bonnet strap with fitting kit. Held in stock for customer fitting. Available in high-quality brown or black leather. 2″ wide (51mm). 1 1/4 and 1 1/2″ widths also available. This pattern is made as a two-part strap – with the buckle on one strap and the pointed end on the plain other.

Standard features of this premium strap:

• Felt non-scratch wool lining – stitched
• One fixed and one sliding leather keep loops
• Buckle protector pad featuring 30mm diameter ‘Toby’ stamp
• Polished stainless steel belt buckle
• 5 pre-punched holes in the plain end
• Buckle side of strap – 61cm to base of buckle, 67cm including buckle protector
• Tail end of strap – 152cm
• Buckle protector 8cm long in line with belt, 9.5cm wide

The TOBY Premium Bonnet Strap kit is supplied with two chrome-on-brass staple loops for 2″ belts, a leather hole punch and 4 stainless steel Chicago screws. Leather rivets are available online, but TOBY recommends and supplies Chicago screws for ease of use.

Instructions: Assemble the strap over the bonnet and measure up the required fitted length of belt allowing for approximately 3″ to be fed through the mounting staples, doubled back and fixed back to the strap. Most people assemble the bonnet strap with the buckle pin in the middle hole to allow adjustment. Then cut the ends of the straps to the length required, doubling them through the staples and securing with the screws through the holes you make with the leather punch supplied.
